Intermediate Level    11″ x 14″   116 total pieces, cat & frame 93 pieces, smile & hand 23 pieces.
Woods Used:  Western Red Cedar, Aspen, Blue Pine, Walnut, Basswood for the hand, Aspen & thermally treated Poplar for the paper smile & 1/8" Maple for the backer. The pattern comes with different smiles you can choose from.
I found a great premade frame, Ampersand Floater Frames, the maple frame is very nicely made and works perfect for this project. Search online to find the best price, 11 x 14 Bold Frame, price $32.00. The frame is a little thicker than their thin model. I used a 1" wide by 3/4" thick walnut for the inner "mat".
Wonder Wheel was used for adding texture. Suggested Blades:  Gold #5 for Western Red Cedar or any softwood. Platinum Plus #5, Titanium #5, Titanium #5R,  Platinum #5,  TLB #5  for the hardwoods.  PLP-2/0, or TLB #2/0 to cut the interior lines (after the exterior lines are cut).
