In-House Instinctual Workshops
Great news, JGR Studio will be re-starting our In-House Instinctual Workshops
Here are the basic details:
The work will be an in-depth, hands-on experience focusing on Judy's processes, tips, and techniques to include:
- Sawing for accuracy - from basic to improving how your pieces fit.
- Wood selection - study of the shades and grains along with selection and wood prep.
- Shaping and blending -using raising and sanding shims
- Texturing - using the Wonder Wheel techniques from light to aggressive carving.
- Finish and glue down - using the workshop sample you will go over the different finishes from gel to liquid including aerosol. Included is a step-by-step instructional session on the glue down process
- A small take home project will be ready for you apply the finish and glue down at home.
The workshop is a three (3) day -Tuesday -Wednesday -Thursday all day event.
Cost is $350.00 with a $100.00 deposit to confirm your spot in class.
Only three people in class, lots of hands-on instruction, snacks and a box lunch provided.
Two instructors, Mariann Vandervoord, Judy's right hand for many years and a high-level Expert Student that has taken and passed all of Judy's classes!
