Artistry in Wood Show and Sale

Dayton Carvers Guild is having the 36th Annual
“Artistry in Wood Show and Sale ”
at the Roberts Centre, 123 Gano Rd, Wilmington, OH. 45177

Artistry in Wood is one of the leading woodworking shows in the country. With about 200 exhibitors, it includes carving, turning, furniture, toys, and Intarsia.  Enjoy visiting with fellow artists, shopping tool and supply vendors, watching kids make simple woodworking projects, shopping for holiday gifts, browsing patterns and books, and more!
Although the focus of the show is carving, scrollers are increasingly well represented. The Dayton Carvers welcome scrollers, Intarsia, turners, and furniture makers.
Dimensional Intarsia and carving have so much in common.

Marianne, Stephen, and I are excited to have a booth among all the fantastic carvings. I'll have many Intarsia pieces on display along with some items for sale. I will have a demonstration “Intro to Intarsia” at 3:00 on Saturday. I realize it’s late notice but if you are in the area it should be a great show.

Ray Seymore will have a booth set up and will his demonstrate his new Seyco Scroll Saw. We have one in the shop, it's a great scroll saw!

The staff of Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts
magazine is working with the Dayton Carvers Guild to present a scroll saw mini show as part of their Artistry in Wood event. Fox Chapel Publishing has long sponsored a scrolling category in the show competition.

Join all of us at the show to........

  • Try the new Seyco Scroll Saw: Ray Seymore will be exhibiting his new saw (featured in SSW #67) as well as his complete line of tools for scrollers.
  • Meet & greet with Judy Gale Roberts: Judy will be exhibiting her artwork and selling products.
  • Buy scrolling patterns and books: We will be working with vendors at the show to make sure they are well-stocked with Fox Chapel Publishing scrolling-related books and pattern packs, including some you might not have seen.
  • Launch party for new scrolling books: We’ll have some of our newest titles at the booth and do some giveaways. There might be balloons and cake, just for fun!
  • Compete in the contest: Artistry in Wood hosts a prestigious competition that includes several categories perfect for scrollers (toys, clocks, marquetry, intarsia, and a general scroll sawing category). Although you must deliver your work in person (no mail-in entries), you do not have to be an exhibitor to compete in the woodworking and scrolling categories.
