Oak leaf with acorns, door topper design. Would make a great fall Thanksgiving decoration. A wood-burner was used to add detail on the acorns. 
Woods Used:  Various shades of Western Red Cedar was used on the first Oak Leaf piece made in 2007. 
Newer Version:  For this project I used Red Heart, Peroba Rosa, Spanish Cedar, Dark Spanish Cedar, Peruvian Walnut, Maple background. All the pieces are glued on top of a maple 1/4" plywood. I applied finish to the background, I masked off the areas where the parts are glued for a better bond.
Suggested Blades:  Gold #5 for Western Red Cedar or any softwood. Platinum Plus #5,  Platinum #5,  TLB #5  for the hardwoods.  PLP-2/0, or TLB #2/0 to cut the interior lines (after the exterior lines are cut).
