LP-1 Baby Giraffe

Intermediate/Advanced Level    13" x 9 3/4"  65 pieces.

"Baby Giraffe" is the First Release in the "Lost Patterns" Series. It was the featured article and cover shot for the Spring 2024 Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts magazine, but Judy Gale Roberts did not release the pattern publicly. The pattern was found after she was gone. It was finished for public release and has become the First Release of over a dozen "Lost Patterns", like precious little gems left behind by Judy Gale Roberts that will become future pattern release. You get one red lined 11x17-inch pattern and an 8 1/2" x 11" color photo of the finished piece.

A Wonder Wheel was used for adding texture to the hair and detail on the face & ears. Woods Used: Spanish Cedar (you may be able to find some WRC that has a orange tone), also used Aspen, Walnut & Basswood. Blades Used: Gold #5 for Western Red Cedar or any soft wood. Platinum Plus #5 for the Spanish Cedar, Platinum Plus #5,  Platinum #5 TLB #5 or TM #5R for the Walnut, Basswood & Aspen.  PLP #2/0 or TLB #2/0 to cut the interior lines (after the exterior lines are cut).
