#LP-2 Sasquatch

Intermediate Level    11" x 10 1/2"  78 pieces.

"Sasquatch" is the Second Release in the "Lost Patterns" Series.

This pattern was originally a Judy Gale Roberts' custom designed pattern, but was lost over time among her many many works and creative ideas, AND although the "Sasquatch" pattern was as Elusive as the Big Foot Creature himself, he is NOW... FOUND!

Our grateful thanks to Don Knox, one of our very own Intarsists and a Judy Gale Roberts' student several times, who kindly took this Judy Gale Roberts' pattern and offered us his own creativity and interpretation of the vision of this pattern and his work is represented in the photo that accompanies the pattern. 

Woods Used: Don used light shades of Western Red Cedar for the face, Olive Wood for the hair with a little Spalted Maple for variation and movement.

A Wonder Wheel was used for adding the fur-like texture to the hair and facial hair.

Suggested Blades:  Platinum Plus #3 was used for the larger cuts and sections, then a  Platinum Plus #2/0 was used for the inner cuts to separate the pieces.
