I-421 Blue Crab

Beginner/Intermediate Level  12.25″ wide x 10.5" high, 81 pieces
Blue Crab ready for the beach. "Down by the sea pattern". 
Woods Used: I used 7/8" thick Green Poplar for the crab shell, 3/4 thick wood for the rest of the project, Blue Pine, Green Poplar, Red Heart, Light Green Poplar, and Peruvian Walnut.
The photo of the finished piece that comes with the pattern includes many sideview photos to help with shaping.
A Wonder Wheel was used for adding carved lines on the crab legs.
Suggested Blades:  Gold #5 for Pine or any softwood. Platinum Plus #3,  Platinum #5,  Pegas #3 or 5, TLB #5  for the hardwoods.  PLP #2/0, or TLB #2/0 to cut the interior lines (after the exterior lines are cut).
