Intermediate Level 16 ½” x 18” 75 pieces.
Little boy mowing the lawn. A wood burner was used for detail on hat and a Wonder Wheel was used for adding texture/detail to the grass.
Woods Used: Various shades of Western Red Cedar, Aspen for the White, Basswood for the face & body, Blue Pine for the light portions of the mower.
Woods I Would Use Today: Green Poplar for the grass, Blue Pine for the shorts and mower, maybe Blue Pine for the collar, Aspen for the shirt and hat. The original piece was made in 2010.
Suggested Blades: Gold #5 for Western Red Cedar or any softwood. Platinum Plus #5, Platinum #5, TLB #5 for the hardwoods. PLP-2/0, or TLB #2/0 to cut the interior lines (after the exterior lines are cut).
