Beginner Level    14½″ x 10″ 28 pieces. 
Little "oh hoot" owl in a cactus, western southwestern theme. A Wonder Wheel used to add texture to the interior of the cactus.  
3/8" Walnut dowels for eyes, the cactus has 1/8", 3/16", and 1/4" maple dowels for decorative spines.
1989 Woods Used:  Various shades of Western Red Cedar, Aspen for the White. 
2021 Woods Used: Green Poplar for the cactus, OWL Wenge for the dark, Spalted Maple for the medium, Spalted Hackberry for the light.
Suggested Blades:  Gold #5 for Western Red Cedar or any softwood. Platinum Plus #5,  Platinum #5,  TLB #5  for the hardwoods.  PLP #2/0, or TLB #2/0 to cut the interior lines (after the exterior lines are cut).
