I use #3 and #5 for most scroll sawing. This project contained many varieties of wood, we had all the blades out!
Gold #5 for Western Red Cedar or any softwood.
Platinum Plus #5 & 3's Platinum #5 & 3's Titanium #5R, for the hardwoods.
PLP-2/0, or TLB #2/0 to cut the interior lines of parts that go back together (after the exterior lines are cut).
The chart on the right is very helpful, after some experimenting we found #3 blades worked better than a #7 as far as keeping parts square.
Just remember, don't push and change blades often!
