Beginner to Intermediate Level 14" x 17 1/2" 41 pieces.
Raccoon holding corn on the cob reaching over corner. The raccoon is designed to sit on the corner of a picture, window, or door frame. I used western red cedar and aspen.
This piece was made 18 years ago, before I started using the Wonder Wheel more often. If I did this project again I would add lots of texture to the raccoon. I would use some walnut for the dark parts and yellow heart for the corn cob. In 1997 I used the edge of a disc sander to add texture to the corn. Suggested Blades Gold #5 for Western Red Cedar or any softwood. Platinum Plus #5, Platinum #5, TLB #5 for the hardwoods. PLP #2/0, or TLB #2/0 to cut the interior lines (after the exterior lines are cut).
